egt probe placement?

Anyone installed an egt guage? if so where did you put the probe? Which runner if you put it in the header... or did you put it in the dp? Which would be more acurate(sp?)?

I think I wrote you about my EGT issue- the probe burned up from the constant exposure for 20K+ miles. That being said, I had mine on #4 (farthest from the cam), I'd probably put it on #1 if I was gonna do it again.
I don't know where you'd put it if you were going turbo....

best spot is runner #1.

you want it the furthest from the throttle body/closest to the cam

from my research... you are supposed to put it about 6 inchs down... and the farthest from the fpr... so that would be all the way to the right if you are facing the front of the car
