broken antenna

Hey guys

on my lancer, went through a car wash and the actual base of the antenna broke....the part right below where the threads are at.

does anybody know how the base of the antenna unscrews...is it from inside the car, from under the head liner or how exactly? also what is this part called and any idea of part # or price or source

thanks guys

here is the most recent link i can find

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...broken+antenna

that doesn't help that much at all...i would rather know for sure what to do than just go out and start twisting things out

yeah okay...first off i wanna say thanks to everyone who didn't help me at all...which is just about everyone

next offf...the antenna base just doesn't twist off...it is held on by 2 10mm nuts from underneath the headliner. which is remove by carefully popping out the 3 plastic snap pins.

the base itself is not cheap either...its like around $80-90

hope this helps whoever has this problem in the future

the total install time was under a half hour

Hey why didn't you just take it off fill the whole sand it smooth and buy an antenna that mounts to your dash for 40 dollars... then go to a body shop and get the roof touchd up painted to match the original color... that would have only cost about $100 dolalrs. It would look alot cooler too
