Which Header

After ALOT of searching and reading threads about the three major headers (RRM, RPW, and Kamikaze) I'm just alittle confused still.

Does the CEL come on for each of these headers?

The Mil Eliminator can be used for any of them?

Can I pass inspection with either header?

I read a few posts about a downpipe coming with the header.

Does the downpipe come with it? If it does which one? Do I need the downpipe?

Which one if not all will be good?

SORRY for ALL the questions but I just need some help with this. And YES I did several of searches.

Thanks for everyones help!!!!!!

I have the Kamikazi header; so far no complaints. Was a ***** to install when it got to connecting the downpipe to the cat but other than that install was easy. The other thing is the high temp black paint is starting to flake off but i dont think it matters. Payed like 200ish for it shipped. About inspection; i had no problem. Yes my CEL light is on and has been on since about 45 min after install (about 7 months ago). Great sound!

I also have a question regarding the CEL from a header. I've heard you can bypass it, but by doing so that prevent it from coming when it needs too or will it permanently disable it?

CEL comes out on each of the three headers. To bypass it you can use MIL eliminator. Since you don't have the first CAT and you would not be able to pass the emission test. Someone said before you could pass the emission test with a stock header on but the second CAT (after the downpipe) doesn't have to there.
As far as bypassing CEL it will only eliminate the error caused by the CAT in your header. If some other sensor will throw an error it will show up.

I have the rrm header, i never got the cel light until months later when i installed the piggyback. Maybe i was just lucky. But then for inspection you could just disconnect the battery light and reset it and that will keep the light off for a bit. Last time i did that the light was off for about 15 minutes. Or if you get sick of the light you could just take the bulb out of the gauge cluster like i did.

Does the downpipe replace the CATALYTIC CONVERTER? The Kamikaze comes with a downpipe I believe but does it replace it?

I'm pretty sure the first cat is in the header and the 2nd cat is in the exhaust. So a header would replace the first and for example the rrm test pipe would replace the 2nd. The downpipe uses bigger piping so the air flows better.

I had the Kamikaze header and downpipe. I had the MIL eliminatormon the second O2 sensor which kept it from coming on. I passed the emissions test with the header and as long as you have the MIL it won't have any fault codes which would cause you to fail. I didn't really like the Kamikaze header at all. It caused the car to sound like a total rice rocket (a Honda) and I hated it. I sounded really raspy and the fitment between the downpipe and 2nd cat was horrible. As someone else had said the paint chipped of as soon as the header got hot the first time. I had to go and get a thick gasket so there wasn't a leak. I got rid of that setup and bought a RRM header which I am a lot happier with. With the RRM header you can use your stock downpipe or buy a Bushur (don't know exactly how its spelled) downpipe, which some people have, to get better flow out of the exhaust. My suggestion is go with either the RRM or the RPW. Depending on what you plan on doing with your car in the future. What are your plans? Do you plan on going turboed or N/A? That would help you make your final choice.

I'm probable won't go turbo. Which Kamikaze header you have?...hi-temp black paint?

The first cat is inside the header right?....So the Mil Eliminator fixes that problem right? That way I should pass inspection?
