As far as I've seen/heard/read, the strutbars made for the 02-03's will fit the 04-05's just fine... across all lancer models (-evo)

I say yes.

I sold my RMR strut bar to an '05 owner and he had no problem. So I'd assume this would be fine as well.

It's all still the same chassis/suspension, correct? I'm imagine so, but I don't know enough to say with 100% certainty.

Yeh my strut bar from RRM the single one had the same problem as you Mike. It would not go on at all. Me and Kareem tried everything until we figured out we had to get a rubber mallet and beat that **** up. I didn't even bother to put it on after that. I just sold it.

Doesn't surpise me. I had to grind my RRM cubby plate down. Nobody is perfect...

maybe it could be the way your car is parked too.. make sure your wheels are straight and the car is not on any sort of incline or twisted in any way.

with the RRM bar I hear it's best to jack one side of the car up to get the bar on. Problem is, that's preloading the suspension. Yes it will prevent flex, but it's being forced out of 'normal' to start with

oh yes, that means you would probably have to get an alignment as well.

well, I don't think it's that much of a preload on it, but it's more than normal. On a semi related note, I've got the Progress Springs, RDD front, read, and tie bars, and have yet to get an aligment. My tires do not wear any different than stock either
