Catback installed, now weird idle sound?

It's possible Danno, but I did notice that I stand corrected on something I said earlier. It does not do it from a cold start, like after sitting all night, just when the car is warmed up to normal operating temps.

Check your lower rad hose after you car has been sitting for a bit. If it is collapsed then that could be your problem. Go to the dealer and get the recall for the rad cap done.

Recall? What recall? Where can I get a list of any and all recalls for my 05 Lancer,other than the dealer?

i have to agree, i had a recall on my car, nothing about the idle, about steering, dealership took it, have it checked out by the dealership

if you are still having the same problem, i know exactly what it is. when you disconnect the battery to reset the ecu, then your car will idle strange, once you drive for about 15 miles or so, it should start to idle normal again. i had the same problem when i had disconnected my battery to install my headers.
