Would Greddy be interested in perhaps making a high quality and high performance exhaust manifold and cat-back system for the USDM Lancer? Aftermarket support for the car is burgeoning and any extra help would certainly be appreciated.

Thanks for your interest in GReddy Products. We are still looking over the new non-turbo Lancer at this time. We have not decided what or if we will produce any items yet. But if we do it will most likely be an exhaust system first. Please keep in touch with your favorite Authorized Greddy dealer for more updates. http://greddy.com/dealers/

It was worth a shot...even included a link to the Part's Page to show 'em that other companies joined the band wagon.

Dear Paul,

We would be interested in developing the rotor part of the kit, but would need to have a min order quantity of 100 units for us to go into manufacture.

How much bigger did you want the rotor diameter? 13”?

Mark.

Reply from Disc Brakes Australia about manufacturing a big rotor kit, more specifically, their Gold line ( http://www.dba.com.au/rotors_gold.asp ). They sound enthusiastic but 100 orders is a bit (but they do have to cover R&D and manufacturing costs) and they didn't give a price. In my reply email I asked what size wheels would be necessary for the rotors to fit and possible cost. I'll keep you all updated.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I emailed Borla about an exhaust manifold and a catback(citing the Lancer's all to short exhaust runners and all to restrictive exhaust piping) and Edelbrock mentioning the all to long intake manifold runners (kills high end HP and you wonder why the Lancer stops after 3rd gear) and the possibility of shortened intake manifold and larger custom made TB as well as with Borla, new exhaust components. As of yet (only sent the email yesterday, they haven't gotten back.

It may just be me but I would like a rear drum to disc conversion kit with a front big brake kit. It's not needed, I don't have tremendous amounts of HP/Trq but I would pay a good amount of money for the look

A custom job would be your best bet. I think it'd be too expensive to put into production unless some very odd car has the same exact rear brakes and a conversion already. Not likely though. Not likely at all. As much as I have a brake fetish and as much as I'd like discs all around, it's VERY unlikely to ever happen. Even Civic EX's only recently got a kit released from AEM or BAER...I forget which. Anyway...don't hold your breath.

Someting to consider - RPW already has both a Front EVO Lancer brake conversion along with an EVO Rear Disc brake conversion. These are manafactured as bolt on items and require I beleive a 15" rim only min.

These are readily available and satisfy all the requirments that you need.

We have begun production of our long runner design 4-1 extractors already and the long intake runner is not a bad idea when coupled with a good larger throttle body, air cleaner and exhaust as this combination will make the car faster.

Shorter intake runners mean more peak power at higher rpm levels - longer means more torque at lower rpm which means more acceleration.

They'll fit the Lancer's but only the ES since they share the same bolt pattern at 4 x 100. http://www.apparts.netfirms.com/brakes.html

Pretty expensive but well worth the stopping power if you've got fast Lancer (well beyond basic bolt ons).

As for DBA, they're offering each 13" rotor at $75 dollars a piece plus shipping so you're looking at $150 +, but that's significantly cheaper than the Evo RS and HP conversion kits and the stock sized rotor kits. Would be worth it for the low powered Lancer, even when paired with RPW or RoadRace's high grip brake pads.
