Vision Imports is in the process of Fitting a Stage 2 kit onto a lancer. We will be tuning and dyno testing the car at our facility. We will take pictures, and print out the dyno prints and post them on our website.
The kit is scheduled to be put on in the next week. So check out our site for updates.
Thanks
Matt

Don't let this parts thread get Off Topic. Talk about the turbos in the Aftermarket Turbo Tech section please and post about the intake problems in Troubleshooting if you're having issues with cramming an intake designed for a manual transmission car into a car with an automatic.

drum2disc

I asked AEM of www.aempower.com about drum2disc conversion for the Lancer, here's his answer:

I cant say weather we are or are not at this time.

I asked JRP at http://www.jrponline.com about drum to disc conversion for the lancer, here's his answer

Hello,
There are some conversion kits on the market, but the cars you mentioned
are not on the market. If you look hard enough you could find some
factory parts that will fit those perticular cars to convert it to disk brake.
I do have alot of parts for the mitsubishi lancer evo already.
Thanks,
Rob.

Hey...if you got a hold of AEM for brakes and they didn't flat out tell you "NO" as other attempts have seen...ask about an air intake and a cam gear!

Rear Brake Conversin

WE do have teh rear brake conversion to EVO Rear discs with hand brake cable and everything. But this was designed for teh Mirage / Australian Lancer.

I would say that this kit could be adapted to fit the lancer without too many drama's but I would need to get someone to basically go to say vision imports and they could work out what needs to be done to fit them up to a car.

All we would need is somone to basically go to VIsion imports and order them and for the purposes of working out the kit we would organise a discounted fitment to the vehicle around a 20% saving overall on the normal price.

If someone contacts Vision Imports I would be keen on developing this kit specifically for you lancer people.

I mailed them (yes, real mail since their website doesn't give any email address) and my reply was...argh, lemme find the letter *finds letter* Ok here it is: "AEM at this point is not currently developing parts for the US Lancer. However, there is a possiblity for future parts..." and then rattles off with keep checking our website type deal. I sent that probably about 2 months ago so I wanna know if anyone else wants to give it a shot? www.aempower.com and one of the menus on the left will get you to their address. Thanks to anyone in advance for doing this.
And now "Itake by August is given". Gee...thanks, guys.

EDIT: Maybe if they hadn't used the word "given".

At least they're going to make one. Remember the guy after me who got like a vehement no but AEM gave their ups to the Evo? It's a start. Like I said though, I should really try again, give thanks for the intakes and pressure them for a cam gear. Anymore companies anyone can think of hitting up? Think across the spectrum: intake, exhaust, suspension, internal: cams, cam gears, etc., dress up stuff.

What bothers me is how they go from "not yet" to "no" to "august is a given". Believe me, I'm even happy people make those bootleg short rams they sell on ebay...shows that people are looking for em and companies are listening. I'm mainly looking forward to possible cam gears, pullies etc. I hope I'm not asking for too much. I don't wanna have to special order em from unorthodox when I get em.

On a note related to the thread, but not this particular topic...Buschur pretty much stopped development on their header due to apparent lack of interest. He's sold THREE cat backs...Dave Buschur named the other two to me...both for sponsored cars. If I didn't have this hanger problem I'd recommend it, but I can't as is.

Ah...pullies, that's what I forgot. That's quite a shame about the Buschur development. If I had a job they would've sold 4 exhausts and definitely had an interest in a header. ****z. Anyways, back on topic.
