RPW's kit will work fine. The only problem from what I understand for the kid was installing an intercooler and piping which if you live near an import tuning shop shouldn't be a problem at all.

I'd just be careful about buying anything from OBX guys...I think you all were to quick to forget this THREAD from the last time someone found OBX stuff. Probably should email them for a honest to goodness parts compatibility check.

RPW Turbo Kits

Great news everyone - it is confirmed the RPW Turbo kits fit the lancer cars perfectly. The person tells us who is fitting it up to the USA 2002 Lancer that the dump pipe needs ne mods, the turbo and manifold fits perfectly as does the oil and water lines.

The 350hp ball bearing turbo also fits perfectly so this means that anyone can get one of our kits, fit either a Haltech or Unichip / Apexi SAFC controller to it and run anywhere between 5 psi to 10 psi boost on the cars depending upon teh system you want.

The only thing you need to get done locally is the intercooler and piping, computer system fitting and tuning.

I will give more info when the customer has finished the fitment and has dyno'd the car.

This also confirms that our extractors will fit the car perfectly as well.

In the future will the kits for the Lancer come with the T-28 Turbo or will it come with the T-25 and be swapped later as is the case with this install?

response from TurboXS

We don't actually make turbo kits for NA cars. However, when the EVO
comes, we will be all over it with parts (intakes, exhausts, turbos,
programmable ECU, etc.) soon after it is introduced here in the US. We
make all our stuff in Australia and will soon be buying an EVO down
there to begin product development work. As soon as we can buy a US
spec version early next year, we will test fit everything, make any
changes require for fitment on US spec vs. Australia and release them.

RPW Turbo Kits

For the 2.0 Lancers yes our GT-28 turbo is standard for that model vehicle. The GT-25 is standard for teh 1.8 model Mirage vehicles

Bend the Injen it will work fine, or try getting Rob to sell you the MAS adapter plate and get a custom pipe bent.

i got my intake in there somehow, but the thing is where exactly do you bend the piping to get a perfect fit. I'm having problems, The antifreeze cooler bottle that is next to the battery doesn't wanna fit anymore. so i had to tie it, so it could stay put, i also had to move my battery a little the the right..
The piping is secure, but i don't trust anything til it's tightly screwed in, The breakets on the piping don't even reach their destination, plus another thing, the second piping hits against the walls of the Radiator fan, so tell me... where do you bend the pipe to fit?
