RPW Extractors

Just confirming that RPW has tested and confirmed that we are redesigning a set of headers for teh Lancer models. Our Mirage headers are not long enough due to the block height taller and we need to extend our flex pipe another 3" to meet the origonal cat converter.

We are beginning manafactruring or initially two test headers which will be sent to VIsion Imports for confirmation of fitting then beginning mass production.

Due to the need for longer piping the 2.0 headers are going to be awesome for torque running primarly length pipes of around 34" long before merging into a 2 1/2" flex pipe

We are looking to do this in around 2 weeks so anyone interested in being protoype vehicles contact VIsion Imports and they can get your details.

We can also do vernier cam gears for these cars right now - takes around 3 weeks to get a set made for anyone who wants them.

On www.AEMpower.com under the induction section they do have short-ram and cold-air intakes for the lancer, however I believe the text of it is in blue... would that indicate it's not available yet, or is it just a new product? If it is new then I guess it's out..

Yeah...if you look at the top of the page, it says blue denotes coming products. Excited...maybe a cam gear and a couple of pullies.

Note that there is also a thread (launched by Boni) at AEM forums, about changing the EMS (computer) at
http://www.aempower.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?t=189
Basically the EMS of the Eclipse 2G start the engine and make it run, not very well, but still, maybe just tweak a couple of values

Heeey...anyone wanna try and contact Crane Cams? I couldn't find anyway of reaching them electronically and it's pretty damn late. Any help is always appreciated. Items of interest: new lifters, camshaft and valve springs.

canadian tire

Noticed on www.driverfx.com they sell some parts for the Lancer 02:

Eibach Spring at $235
Injen intake at $268
JSP spoiler at $168 (don't know how it looks, certainly the OEM)

slighty OT but BTW JSP make strange spoiler like the one on this pic:

and I see more and more spoiler like this on any kind of car (ok, mostly civic)... is this ricey spoiler? or do they actually "work"? Does it help on a FWD car?!?

Ricey in the fact that FWD cars need downforce applied to the front wheels rather than the back. That and it's freakin' huge. GT wings=bad. Ok, that was OT. Part parts parts parts....

Jet Performance Product

don't know what is it , but Jet Chips sell a product for "all mitsu", go on their page at http://www.jetchip.com/, select "import" on the left menu, then for the "Jet V-Force" at right select "Mitsu all 90-02 w/o Turbo", here's what it does:

Modified Ignition Curve
Recalibrated Air/Fuel Ratio for Maximum Performance
Improved 1/4 Mile E.T's
LED Read Out
On/Off Override Switch

I'll ask them if they will do a full computer upgrade for the lancer, in the future...

edelbrock

I know they almost make parts for americans cars only, but they have parts for honda/acura, so I asked edelbrock http://www.edelbrock.com if they will make performance parts for the lancer 2002, their answer is "Unfortunately not at this time."
