though this is costing me an arm and a leg, I am loving the results and can also say that this does have its advatantage over buying premade kits. If you buy somehting premade I doubt it will use good projectors and will give you a horrible cut off and just overall not look that great, where as with a retro you can put your lights together with any projector you want and get the beautiful OEM look and functionality (eg. high beams with my projectors).

only way I know of to get projectors is to retrofit your own, or buy them from japan or signapore for a couple hundred bucks (500 maybe?).

What we need is an evodave-like figure for the lancers that does headlight mods and can retrofit us some nice projectors.
projectors from japan for our car run abur $2k, i wanna try to start doing rpojectors retros, but people wouldnt pay $500-for a set of projected headlights that come with HID

Tweaks those came out sweet, im gonna be redoing mine soon(im never happY) wanna get TSX projectors, and shourds are you using?

that is a good deal $500 with HIDkit. C'mon , that might as well be free. A good HID kit runs around $350-400 anyway right? Like a HELLA right? And projector headlamps run around $250 or so. so that'd be a good deal. we need to harass a company. lol.

good question. I think so because it will still prevent crazy glare from your regular light bulbs, plus it still looks kinda cool. You might not be able to use the stock 9007 bulbs with a projector though, I couldn't tell ya.

the answer is : yes.
My close friend tony, has a 96' civic with projectors (black) and he does not have HID, and his bulbs are bright, and the projectors really light up the road- it's unbelievable, AND they're a blue-ish/purple-ish tint. He doesn't have HID. they are the bulbs that came with the projectors. SO i would say the projectors without the HID would be very worth it.

and you won't be able to use the 9007 bulbs with a projector. it wouldn't work. The hole where the bulb goes is usually made for a h1 or some similiar type bulb. The ONLY way it could work, is if you 'unscrew the actual projector lens, and take out the backing for it (where the bulb goes) and just keep the circular lens (i know this, because while i was making mine - i considered it), but i stopped making them.

there is no CRAZY glare on stock headlights w/o hid's

i diagree. I have kinda sensitive eyes ever since an incident many years back, and to me ALL stock housings cause too much glare except for the projectors. yes, even stock lancer housings with silverstars or eurolites or whatever you put in yield too much glare.

and its all opinion dude, so don't try and pick a fight. What you think is measly light output is blinding on the road for me.
