actually to tell u what happened to me... Long time ago about 6 weeks ago i was installing dynamat in the top of my trunk and a tad of that black sticky tar stuff got on the ledge of trim where the trunk comes down and becomes flush with it. The sticky stuff actually keeps my trunk down and i have to lift up on it for it to come up.. u may wanna try that out for a short term solution before you go ripping **** outa ur trunk to fix it

i got my evo wing mounted 2 days ago and the trunk opens up nicely....it still pops all the way up but its a smoother motion and it dosent slam to a stop anymore....it kinda bumps into one but its perfect now
