optima battery question
Havin' some red top battery trouble myself.
The battery won't fit. It'll fit, but the pos. and neg. terminals are towards the south end of the battery (panasonic-stocks being towards the north side of the battery).
I'm havin' some trouble getting the positive terminal on.
When you say 'extending'- how would that be done?

lay the battery on its side and spin the battery so the terminals match up.
Yellow top will fit
The yellow top will fit.. its a tight fit and you might have to extend your existing cables or shift things a bit and seat the existing... but it will fit... and what a world of a difference it makes.
Red Top, Blue, or Yellow, Doesnt matter.
The Neg. is grounded right there on the right side of the battery.
All you have to do is unbolt it, and move it over to another spot.
There are about 3 diff. points or so in that area, to choose from.
Turn the Optima Batt. around, so the Neg is on the Left.
It'll fit just fine, and the positive will reach.
Heres mine.
(Red Wire is a Ground Wire Kit. Thats the Negative Side. Notice one of the ground-wires goes over toward the right, behind the battery.. Thats where I moved that ground to.
There are other holes there, you can use.)
