No one is hating on the new models.. The styling of the new ones really are too roundish looking.... They still gave u guys crappy headlights and a crappy trunk. if i had to buy another lancer.. i would buy the 02-03 again. i would only get the newer ones if it was a ralliart. and that decision would be Engine based. i think the rest of the 02-03 guys would agree with me 100%

I like the new grill on the OZ and RA but I don't like the new bumper it looks like a big mouth.

It's okay but the front still looks a bit "ford focus-y"

I wonder if that shift knob will fit the '03 models. Now THAT is a sweet looking piece.

I know i own an 03 and I've tried to get used to the new models, but i'm just not feeling it.

BTW - did you read the discription on the available sport shifter kit ??

"Who says bigger is better? Shorter strokes make shifting easier and more precise, which is exactly what this kit gives you."

They said "shorter strokes" heh heh.... so that's what i've been doing wrong :P

+1...if the headlights would've been tweaked so they didn't look like Hondas...maybe I would like the car a bit more.

I dunno I think this is a step in the right direction after the '04-'05 looked goofy. I have a 2003 and I like the shape, front and back end. I bought it because I liked how the Evo VII looked and it looked almost exactly alike other than body pieces. What gets me is Mitsu makes all the interiors, from ES to EVO, THE SAME. My friend's got a 2005 Evo VIII and other than the gauge cluster, shifter and seats, it all looks the same!

The other thing that gets me is that they have these factory body kits now to make it look like an Evo, didn't Dodge do this with the Neon SXT/SRT-4?

I don't hate the body style, but I like the year I have more because it looks proportionate. I wish there was a Ralliart of the '02-'03 because it'd look badass.

At least Mitsu didn't screw it up like the new Eclipse...good-looking car, but FWD and non-turbo will only sell to females and middle-aged men who are going through their "I need Viagra" and mid-life crises. If Mitsu could use the 2.4L MIVEC for the base GS and the MIVEC PLUS a T-25 turbo or equivalent but change the pistons to lower the compression for it, somehow use the AWD system from the Outlander it'd be **** but, unfortunately, they didn't think of that. Yes, I know the Outlander is smaller than the Galant platform, but not by much.

Anywho, that's my $0.24. Hope it's good!

if they where to make it AWD and turbo, it would still sales from the evo... which they dont want, as they would be direct competitors

You know, I thought of that, but I think they should use a smaller turbo. Maybe make 240HP instead of 280. I don't know, just a thought.
