Simple mods like intake, header will benefit from 2.25 exhaust.
+camshaft, and more mods and then you can go for 2.5 but 2.25 is still good.

At least that is what I got from all the articles about exhaust. If you are not turbo there is no benefit of going 3in. All you get is low torque and maybe 1hp at 6k rpm.

Exhaust will give maybe 1-2 hp to the wheels so don't sweat about it. Just leave it stock

is it true that you can actually be doing yourself wrong by putting an exhaust thats too big. ?? i remember hearing that somewhere

actually i don't believe it is.... this is asking for the opinion on exhaust size on NA cars... no which is best for my NA lancer... i'm not trying to dick ya, just wanted to clear it up.

^ There are many webpages proving that too big is not good, unless FI. You loose back pressure and torque.

FOR NA 2.25" IS PERFECT!!!

ok i really dont think this thread is going anywhere. it would be just as helpful to just put a poll here. all you will be getting is: "2.25-2.5 or else you start loosing backpressure"
