Buddy Club Voltage Stabilizer

I got a buddy club voltage stablizer for my car. Its a cool looking box that glows blue. I hooked it up to the battery and noticed better ingititon and brighter headlights.

Later I added three grounding wires and they were grounded to:

1. Throttle Body
2. Back of Valve Cover
3. To the Ground (next to the battery)

Apparently the car now seems to be slower than normal and less louder.

Can anyone explain why?

Mike

Did you reset your ECU? And where on the throttle body did you attach the wire? If on the throttle body position sensor that might not be a very good idea.

Interesting, I thought the throttle body was the problem, too.

I hooked the wire on the top right corner near the short ram intake. Should I relocate it to somewhere else?

Why won't you connect that wire somewhere else, maybe ........ to the ....... hmmm ... somewhere else, LOL. Try reseting your ECU and then see if there is a problem. How is your idle?

It looks like voltage stabilizer with couple of grounding cables.

yeah u are right. the only difference is that it has voltage stablizer. I had the battery disconnected while i was hooking up the wires so the ECU is pretty much already resetted. right?

i ll take it off and put it somewhere else. any suggestions?

edit: the idle is smooth and fine

Yeah, my bro got the Apex-i one. Really not worth the money... Looks cool, but unless you have a modified ign or massive audio system it probably won't help out too much.

Yes, I know first hand... I have a grounding custom made just for the Lancer and a voltage stablizer too. Nadda, nothing, zero, effect. Oh well, live and learn...

well i experienced something different before hooking up the grounding wires. the voltage stablizer had smoothed my throttle response. My car started up better than before.

i felt TINY power gain
