i know heat is an old trick but this just seemed a little too dangerous to do in a garage full of combustible material.

Do the belts start out squealing and then eventually go away? This is what happened with mine and it was because they weren't tight enough. What was happening was when the belts were cold, they were slipping, causing the squealing, but after they warmed up and got softer, they gripped better. I simply tightened them a little more and now no more squealing.

Thanks Z ... maybe they are to loose ... they do squeal within the first few mins, and then stop.

I am still happy with mine but the other day I had my a/c on (yes its hot in Texas already) and noticed that when the condenser came on the belt would squeak. I think its just loose. all I know is that RRM has made a @#!$ good product!

then i would suggest that your belt is really loose or you need some oil my friend (in the case of it not being the belt).

They may still be loose, so loose that even warmed up they are loose. Unless they already feel very tight on there (lots of resistence when you push on them), try tightening them up some more.

if it's over tightened, the outer bearing in the generator housing will start to race/squeel. if it's too tight make sure you relieve the tension ASAP. otherwise follow up on what Z Lancer said.

Good work rrm. my first 2 gears on my AT go by considerably faster, well worth the $100. ive narrowed it down and the biggest gains ive felt are from 45-60, the place where my car was lacking the most i felt. If you dont have one of these order one its certainly worth it!
