Just got the NEW ///RRM Crank pulley installed!
I cant see how this could be good because the stock pulley is balanced for your stock redline. I can understand if you have a ems and are reving to 8k rpms then i could understand.. but I would just leave it alone.
So heres to all who installed the pulley. be careful.
i guess while it was off i bumped something with a wrench, and it caused my timing belt to eventually snap off
i dont understand how but...
Now i have $400 in towing
PLUS i need a new...
Crank
Crank sensor
Timing Belt
Valve's
2 Pistons
2 connecting rods
A new cam
and 1000+ in labor

That sucks but it is fairly impossible that they are related. I think it was just time for a timing belt maybe.

Does anybody know a good way to remove the crank pulley on an AUTO w/o an impact gun. All i have is a ginormous breaker bar with a 1/2" drive that fits in the nut of the of stock pulley. I have tried placing the car in 1st and stepping on the breaks, and the crank pulley still moves. I have tried a screwdriver through the pulley but there is too much play. What can do to stop the crank from spinning on my auto. Help from auto guys with experience with the pulley will be most helpful. Thanks in advance
There is really no way to stop it. when I put mine on I had no luck. I tried several times over a couple of weeks with no success. I eventually had to take it to a shop to use their air gun. with the impact wrench the pulley didnt move at all. I would recomend letting someone with a very powerful ari gun take it off. 120psi didnt work for me.
pop open the flywheel cover from under the tranny and have someone hold a large screwdriver to one of the flywheel teeth. that'll get it to stop moving.
someone else recommended putting the car in fifth and stepping on the brakes.

oh yeah, auto.
the screwdriver thing is easy. two bolts from under takes off the cover. fit a screwdriver in a tooth and hold against the edge of the opening. i've done this on a bunch of cars to change the timing belt. but if you have $50 to blow, go ahead.

I would really love to see you use an impact instead of possible damage by using screwdrivers, plywood, a light bulb and prostitutes. Pay someone or buddy up to person with impact gun.
