how usefull is an oil catch can?
I have an 02 ES N/A lancer, I'm ordering my struts tomorow and thinking about getting an oil catch can too, how hard is it to put one on? any possible problems that can arise from one? any reccomendations on a good one? thanks
I don't see any use for a catch can on the Lancer. It's there to catch leaking oil, which is why I've seen it almost exclusively on older British cars
(seriously though). Unlike many other cars, my car loses NO oil even after four 45 min track sessions in the Mojave Desert. Don't bother until the car becomes a classic, or you start leaking oil because you put a ton of turbo mods and stuff on it.

My life as a Lancer owner has taught me that neither of you have removed your intake and found oil in it.
Find that, and you'll order your catchcan the next day.
