Realistically, not many people have broken rules in this thread. imapunkclaimer did, and he got a timeout for his troubles. A lot of people have been jerks, but if I still had ban powers, I probably wouldn't have banned anyone. A few warnings would have been issued, however.

PMing the mods means nothing. We want Boe to stay. We gave him a one week ban, and now he's back. So the mods have nothing to do with this.

If you all love Boe so much, TELL HIM. Don't waste your time telling me how I'm retarded and EvoM sucks because of me.

 

Makes sense. But to me the line between employee/non-employee is blurry. Boe is not an official spokesperson for RRM. From what I gather, however, he has accepted compensation from them (either cash or free/discounted parts) in the past. I remember at one point he flat-out refused to disclose his relationship with the company. Regardless, it is probably not debatable that they sponsored him in some form. Because he was some sort of employee of their company (and since they jumped to his defense), to me they are involved.

It's interesting, but my experience with RRM's service has been just the opposite of what you guys are saying. But that doesn't belong here. I'm sorry for pointing down that road. I should have just said that I don't think a company should defend childish name-calling, or insinuate that anyone deserves it, or even be involved in this sort of thing.

They don't pay me enough to be on the boards 24-7 and putting out fires. (For those who jump to conclusions, my EvoM paycheck is $0 per year. This is volunteer work.)

Some how, most of the people in this thread can't figure this out. Boe was banned, just like everyone else should be that does the same thing. Now, he is free to return and he chooses to abandon EVOm and his friends here.

 

Yes, he is leaving by choice, but he says he thinks he has been given crap by a lot of people for a long time. So, he feels he is in a way being slowly kicked off.

 

Boe, we will miss you, hope you change your mind and hope you stay and help ppl out. Ive been here for a very long time, and ive appreciated everything you have shared with us. Thanks.

This is exactly what i feel. He gets antogonized all the time... especially by a select few that search his name out and follow him around in posts.

Those type of actions should get some one banned for good. From what i've heard Boe has had only a few warnings and he's heeded them all. He's also always supported the mods when they've told him he was wrong.

 

1) That's a hefty claim you're making about the actions of the "select few." Care to back that up with proof? Seriously, I'm not being sarcastic. You make these claims, but you can't prove them.

2) We're supposed to permaban them based off what? You claiming they stalk him? Boe has NOT heeded all of his warnings. He constantly ignored my warnings and requests to please not fight on the board. We had many PM sessions about the RIPP thing, and everytime I asked him not to fight, he'd head into battle with both guns blazing.

3) I don't know if I'd say he always supported me. But whatever.

So in 6 total threads, there is only 1 instance of me posting after boe, and this was just a small sample. So who is following who around in threads now bucket? Not inferring anything, but you made the accusation that I was following boe around in threads just to aggitate him, which is blatantly false, so a reasonable person could turn the tables and infer it was quite the opposite, it was in fact boe following me around into threads.
