I was talking with a dealer yesterday and he made some interesting comments. He said Mitsu plans on offering the EVO8 RS version in the U.S. and it's suppose to be factory rated over 300hp. He also said Mitsu will be offering a new color to the present EVO 8 line-up later this year, a purple. (similiar to the extinct Prowler). I like this guys crystal ball, any one else hear of this?

I have not heard anything about the RS version, but I know that the japanese version of the evo 8 does come in purple.

Along the lines of the EVO hype somewhere I saw in an information bit (brocure, website, etc) I saw that purple was going to be offered as a color for the US EVO 8. It's my guess that is going to keep the colors the same for now, gather all the data from EVO8 sales, and then determine what they want to do in the next round of production. I wouldn't trust anything any dealer says until makes a press release. Hell, my dealer didn't even know about the cancellation of the OZ for 2004 and the introduction of the Ralli Art with the MIVEC. Most of the things they deal out is rumors.
