wat i meant was just the muffler for less than 100, but the piping cost 60(already went) so it would come out to around 150(cat back)

That is the muffler we use so the sound is deep. RRM exhausts always use Magnaflow SS components.

wat i got out of this so far is that unless you mod the engine with lets say a turbo, then getting an exhaust will just get you a deeper sound as well as freein up HP... which i can get with just a muffler...pls tell me if im right im new

A muffler won't give you power, at least not a significant amount (ie. less than 1 hp). It is purely a cosmetic mod, but one that some people might think is worthwhile.

Wrong forum buddy, this is the lancer forum, you'd have better luck asking your question in the evo forum (although based on the question be prepared for flaming).
slatermvp, an exhaust won't do much, nor should anyone expect it to. Remember the 4G94 is a 2.0l, 120 hp NA engine, it's not like simply adding an exhaust is going to make a big difference on such a low-end motor.

If you were being SMART about it, you'd take the money that you're going to waste on a muffler and put that in the bank towards your turbo kit. Just start saving up.

If you want any power added to your Lancer, the turbo kit is the cake. Anything else is just icing on the cake. So if you buy that muffler, you're just going to have a useless tube of cake icing. Got it?

haha. Totally right. But if you decide to go with an exhaust get it done custom for sure... it will save money.

I just bought an RRM axleback from another member on the boards, minus the gaskets. Are all the gaskets the same? As long as I get the 3 bolt, 2.25" gasket, it will fit the axleback, right? What retail shop would carry these? I don't think all of them would...

Pepboys usually has a big selection of them behind the parts counter that they might let you pick through.

I don't want to have to bring in the entire axleback into the store and go "I want a gasket for this." I'll check out pepboys...
