if anyone has this hood were there any fitment problems.

 

looks like the vis. fitment is fine. but the dang thing yellows like a bithc. take care of it.

 

ive never had carbon fiber so i wouldnt know how to take care of it. Can you give me some tips

 

make sure it has a thick clear coat or have one reapplied!

the sun is your enemy.

if u wash ur car with dish soap DONT.

wash with a good car washing gel

wax occasionally, make sure to stay out of the sun as much as possible. park in a garage as much as u can.

 

One thought - don't be a ricer. Be like the Japanese. Paint the hood. You don't need to leave it CF to show off how badass you are. Be a sleeper.

Then all of the "how to care for your CF hood" arguments will be pointless.

leaving the CF hood doesn't necessarily make you a ricer.... IT ALL depends on how well the fiber flows w/ the color of the car.... I've always liked the CF hood on a white car.

No, I was just reading something the other day about Option auto (if you play GT4, you'll know) and how badass the guy is (yeah, it's one guy who does everything). He barely mods the cars he works on, but he makes them SUPER lightweight and SUPER stiff. In the article, they were talking about how in Japan, it's not cool to leave the CF open. Everyone just paints it, because the CF is for being lightweight, not for bling.

 

i started researching this company a little and ive heard some bad things has anyone on this site ordered from here?

and i leaven in 2 months so for now im just gonna simoniz the hood so the sun and weather don't affect it i plan to paint it when i come back though.
