hmmm OBX headers huh? I heard those provide a nice exhaust leak sometimes. How do you like them, cause they are super cheap but dont look too bad.

For those of you who think the lancer needs back pressure I wish to point to exhibit A: The Dyno thread. There is no conclusive evidence on it that the cat makes any difference on or off in torque numbers. The biggest torque numbers happen to be on testpipe or highflow cat cars. SOooooooo...........

There are NA cars on there too. Look, gutted exhausts are in red and regular exhausts in blue.

you're also comparing different setups as well. To confirm this, you'd have to compare two people with the same exact parts from the same companies. and on the same dyno and in the same gear. its more than just saying everyone with more torque has gutted exhaust.

But you're looking at dyno numbers. Which generally only consider top-end power. Which is the true benefit of a gutted exhaust.

When we urge people to keep a cat, it's usually thinking about daily-driveability and comfort. Not the E.T.

Did you take out your stereo system.
You could try and gut your interior a little bit.
