Question door pillars

My door pillars on both sides of the car seem blotchy and parts of em seem fadded out and they have like light spots all over them.

is this a normal thing that happens over time? can i do anything to get rid of it?

I believe it's normal over time... you need to maintain your entrior with armor-all or somethign to keep it looking new. That's what I do.

If you mean the pillars between the front seats and the back seat, have you tried Armorall. It will even out the color untill you need to re-aply. They are a polymer-plastic and fade because UV inhibitor they use in manufacturing doesn't last forever.

There is some crap I've seen before that is a "trim restorer". I can't remember the name of course but I know it wasn't a special order.

The google button came up with this

The trick is to keep hands off of em. grease from the fingers is a killer. haha... Mine still look great. I would like to know of some trim stuff that would work tho for shows.

Yeah mine is like that towards the bottom of it from my fingers. Yesterday after I posted I went outside and tried some Invisible glass stuff that I got from advance auto and it looks a lot better. I just tried it to see if it worked so tomorrow i'm probably going to wash and clean them off really good.

cool. keep us posted. I may have to try some just to shine it up.. close the door with the handle rather then the trim. Try that and you will be a happy man. haha
