RRM Crank Pulley Installed

Alright, well I just got back from the shop. It took them about an hour to install it. It is so much lighter than the stock pulley. Anyway, as I was pulling out of the lot I couldn't feel any difference at all. I was shifting about 3k rpms (its automatic). I got it out onto the main road and again didn't feel much difference. I was starting to become very dissappointed. As I was cruising along at about 35 or so on the road I decided lets see what it's got and gave it full throttle. I was astounded, it pulled through the RPM's like nothing else. I then accelerated from stop to about 60MPH and I swear it was the quickest that car has ever run it in. Point being, I, personally did not notice much low end power. But when you open up the throttle be prepared for a treat. Good job Road Race, I now stand behind this $100 investment, 100%.

Actually, the biggest thing I have noticed is when I turn my A/C on, it takes away very little of the cars power. Before it would drain the car of every last drop because the engine is so small. Now, It accelerates just fine while cold air is blasting.

This is definitely the best thing you could get for $100. I was really impressed when I put mine on. I wasn't expecting it to do so much. If you don't have one, pick one up ASAP. You won't be dissappointed.

the pulley is great, now if you have an auto, match it with the NSC engine damper and youll LOVE it.

I beg to differ with you (Walkingchaos) on the combo of pulley and NSC's engine damper. I have both and since adding the pulley my bottom of my engine moves alot more and the top jiggles a little since. It the counters the damper kit.

Instead of the engine damper, get stiffer motor mounts or make your own. Much better investment in the long run.

What is the reasoning for thinking the pulley makes your engine shake more? I don't think I can come up with any physical explanation for that happening...

Would you all highly reccomend the RRM one? I am looking into some small power mods right now and would that be the best one I can do for not a lot of money? I have an 03 OZ.

Our pulley doesn't have a harmonic balancer in it, does it?

If so, it'd be the first I ever heard about it.

What money?

jk

Look into mirage pulley. It's smaller, lighter, more expensive, you can get it on ebay but you have to find a proper belt for it. There's a thread somewhere but i'm not searching.
