Guage wire to headlights Qustion

For my oil pressure guage, one wire goes to the headlights, so as to control the lighting in the guage. What wire do I splice into and where is it? The ignition harness? I'm a little lost on this.

What are you trying to do exactly? I dont get why the oil light gage would connect to head lights, i belive it connects into harness under steering column.

There are plenty of threads that explain step by step how to do it. Just do a simple search. But off the top of my head, I thought you connected it to the green wire on the dimmer switch harness to the lower left of the steering wheel. Not sure though. Double check before you do anything.

you can connect it to the dimmer switch or anything that has allumination power. You can even run it to your radio and feed it from there. Whatever is convenient.

Now wait a minute. .

I had searched already. All i found was reference to some green wires (L and R) over in the evo how to's.
The wire I am trying to connect is to dim the guage when headlights are turned on. Now when someone said dimmer switch, do you mean the dial that adjusts brightness of dashlights? How do I get all the way behind there?

I guess I don't really HAVE to connect it at all (the guage will just always be lit upt he same)
You know, sometimes, unless you use the EXACT correct phrase, you'll get 17 pages of BS. So don't just tell everyone with a question to go search - it's condescending and arrogant - unless that's what you were shooting for

I searched and found it in less than 30 sec when searching under "gauge install".

Check out this thread..

It says to use that green wire on the dimmer switch just like I said before. =) (Green with white stripe) Thats what powers my boost gauge, and for any other gauge it will work. To remove the dimmer switch thing, just reach up under your dash and pop it out toward you from behind. To install gauges and do work on your car, you might have to take some things apart once in a while. Don't be afraid. Its fun. =D
