You don't want to mix anything in your engine if there is a problem. Aspecially stuff like sea foam or any other engine additive.

Take out the wires, unscrew the spark plugs, post pictures of the entire spark plug, do a close up for the tip with different angles, and then we will tell you if your car is going to explode or not.

I think this is another battle of domestic (German brand) vs import ideology. Just like DSM'ers thinks there is great voodoo in Mitsu manual trany fluid until few people dared and loved using GM manual fluid at a slightly lesser price to do the same thing.

I have used Bosch +4, +2, and single. I even used it (bosch single) on my Talon Tsi to cure half of my misfire problem until finding the other half of my problem was bad caps in the ECU.

+4 = fouls up too fast. waste of money.
+2 = decent
single = effective and does the same as the +2, just w/o the cost.

If people like changing and buying plugs regularly, that's fine and dandy. If it's not broke, don't put the extra effort trying to break it.

i had +4's for both my previous bmw's, and on the 318ti they worked great, on the 318i, they were terrible. ill never buy them again - i'd be denso or ngk if can, preferebly the iridium - thats what teh ralliarts run and i think they're fantastic.

These are the Bosch Platinum +4 Plugs after being in my car for 4403 miles with no running problems and my car is modded with an SRI and N1 Catback exhaust system, using Castrol Full Syn 10w40.

Then ran strong right up til i took em out and replaced em wit nu ones. I never ever notice any irradict idle or loss of pick up or sputtering while they where in and I drive my car everyday to work which is a 30mile trip one way.
