Help Please Warm-up Cat Problems.
Basically the recall for the cat was a pcm flash b/c the cat was getting too hot after stop and go/ flooring the car. Well now I have permanent damage to it and it's not filtering out the bad exhaust like it's supposed to. It still flows fine so I really don't care that it's broken just as long as I can keep my check engine light off so when there's actually an engine problem I'll get a new light instead of the existing light covering things up. Plus it's kinda annoying to have that light on all the time.
Yes everyone does start out as a noob, but the general understanding is that noobs won't be lippy to people who are actually trying to help. If you listened rather than simply posting and posting I wouldn't get all pissed off. You have been given your answer like 8 times now. Putting on a CEL eliminator will not solve your problem, if you move the first oxygen sensor out you will get the same code or possibly a new code, I know this from experience. Get the code pulled and see what it is, simply coming on here and saying "my car has a code, will this fix it?" is not all that useful.
If you're so damned annoyed with the light, and don't want to take good advice, here's some cheap advice. Take apart the dash, and rip out the bulb. Problem solved. Now take the money you've saved, chalk the whole thing up to a weight savings and enjoy your new, more powerful lancer.
