New Products for the Lancer!!!

So some friends of mine are thinking of engineering some new products for the Lancer, but we really haven't been able to think of much... We are sorta like the A2 guys, with experience ranging from electrical to metal fab to fiberglass work, but we are not looking to start a business, just pioneer in something everyone can benefit from... Why do the EVO guys have all the toys!!! It would be nice to get a business up and running, but with work/family committments, I am not at the point where I can quit and start something from the ground up...

So what is it?... That one thing you've been looking for but cannot find... If we can get enough interest in one thing, we will have somewhere to start. So let me know...

Once I get some different requests, I will get a poll started and let it run for a week or two to see where we can start..

New Product Ideas!!!
- Engine Damper (Just waiting to get a damper in to fab brackets)
- Rear Disc Brakes (Will know more later today)
- Stock fitting downpipe for RRM header + stock manifold
- Canards
- Underbody Cooling Plate
- New Hoods/Body Kit - May be beyond our ability to mass produce
- Exhaust - Won't be too hard, Thinking of a mid pipe w/ several axle back options.
- Projectors - need more input on which type to go after
- Fuel Pressure Regulator
- Bored Throttle body
- 4 Gauge Copper Grounding KIT

Keep the ideas coming...

UPDATE!!!
Okay, so the damper is already in the works... Have gotten a quote on 10 dampers from Ingalls, and will know next week about the brackets and all... I have ordered one damper, and will use that one to fab the brackets...

The rear disc conversion is dependent on the compatibility of the eclipse rears... I have emailed RPW to ask what stock calipers they use but nothing yet... So we are pretty sure we can fabricate something using eclipse calipers... Should know more tomorrow... We will look into going into a basic kit, an upgraded kit with different rotors and calipers, and possibly a big brake kit... But this is gonna be pretty involved to do so, so we will most likely just use the basic kit until we can get some other projects off the road...

I am looking at getting a stock type downpipe made, but will have to play with diameters... I am sure 2" is big enough, may even be too big... So just have to test some out...

ANOTHER UPDATE!!!
Okay, so my two buds are getting ready to go overseas... That being said, I will be doing this solo... Things will still get made, just will take longer... I was working solely on the damper, so that should be out around christmas/new years time... Ill will do my best to keep everyone posted...

Looks like A2's got that covered. I think their intercooled kit with all the add-ons is pretty damn good @ $2500... I am looking to start something new, something that hasn't been done yet...

yea, that would be a bit tougher... That's something a shop would have to install, not something the average person could do...

Yea I dont know about that 400who... I look forward to hear from em...

Could make an overlay for the roof, but again replacing the who roof is a bit involved...

I like the idea of a widebody kit... Will have to look around at some other cars and come up with some ideas...

How about an engine damper like the Ingalls? True NSC (North Star Creations) makes one, but its really cheap craftsmanship from what I hear and the engine mount has been known to snap. I also like the idea of the projector lamps. What about rear disc brake conversions or larger front brake upgrades? An aftermarket downpipe to replace the stock one? We can also use more selection on turbo manifolds. So these are just a few of my suggestions:

- Engine Damper
- Projector Lamps
- Rear Disc Brakes
- Larger Front brakes
- Downpipe
- Turbo Manifold

Yea I really like the idea of the projectors... But I was curious, would people like ones that Japanparts.com makes or just the halo projectors that every other car has??

And the engine damper should be pretty easy...

Rear/Front brakes, it's not really necessary... RPW offers several kits...

And from talking to Rock a downpipe is not needed, they use the stock one on their car...

And a nicely ceramic coated and engineered manifold would be nice instead of the standard log style ones...
