Need some help, failed Emissions
Need some help, failed Emissions
Hi, guys i could use some help. i have a 2002 lancer OZ rally, i went to get emissions tested and i failed due to a few codes, P0137: o2 Sensor circuit low voltage bank 1 sensor 2, P0135: o2 sensor heater circuit bank one sensor one, and my Check Engine Light does not turn either (it used to be on but it suddenly went out so i think i need to replace teh LED) I do not know what kind of led or where/how i can get it, and how to replace it if that is the problem. I as far as mods that i have that could affect those o2 sensors (and i do realize that those mods caused them) are AEM Cold air intake Rhys Millin Racing Headers, and a magnaflow exhaust. on my second cat, i installed a ROAD/RACE "Check Engine Light" Eliminator (For Headers/ Downpipes).
what i would like to know is how to fix my problem? and what do i need to do? or could it be that i just have bad o2 sensors?(do i need to buy new ones and replace it? i would just like to pass emissions =).
guys thank you for taking your time and reading this i could really use some help on this. =)

i doubt the LED went out... there is probably just a pending code floating around in there.
get a MIL eliminator from http://www.mileliminatorsonline.com and install that in the wiring harness for the second O2 sensor (under the carpet on the passenger side of your car).
i had issues with my header and a CEL... and i could not do the mechanical fix since i stripped my O2 sensor trying to get it out. get the eliminator, clear your codes, and then splice it in (it comes with instructions). this SHOULD help you out.

I actually think your CEL did go out. My Lancer did the exact same thing, and kept failing the tests. I just took it to a good shop, they kept it for about a month, and gave me the rundown on everything that was wrong. The first thing was the light bulb on the CEL lol
As for the rest, Autozone will tell you most of that stuff if nobody knows on here. But I highly doubt so. Alot of great people on here, so just be patient :-)
