Question 2002 lancer front end whinning

Have a 2002 lancer there is a whinning coming from the front end not sure what it is. There is no shake or shimmy. The faster you travel the faster the sound. Also not coming from the engine. Thank you in advance

If it's not the engine than there could be two possibilities:

(1) You are hearing things
(2) Suspension

Be more descriptive.....

+1. When your doing mach 1, sounds start coming from the front.

It just depends on what kind of sound. Could be a pulley, suspension, just pretty much anything.

i say the plastic roof in front of your springs (part of the wheel well)...

is this a hissing (air)sound or more like a grinding (think a poker/spades card in a bicycle spoke to make a moped or Civic fart can sound )

if its grinding... make sure ur front wheel well isnt loose... especialy if u werent the original owner and it was body kitted. i had this isssue.. and i was driving to miami to orlando and i heard a buzzing sound @65MPH+ it Phucked my tire upp!! bald as a porno chicks beaver!

it happens at most any speed. Sounds like the prop on a small plane. it sounds very uniform the speed seems to increase the speed of the sound, not the sound level of it like the wind passing through anything. thanks again in advance

have you actually looked to see if there is anything loose/stuck/wrong etc?
take your wheel off and poke your head around, see if you can find anything.

also check the tightness of all the nuts and bolts holding everything together. suspension, belts, lug nuts etc.

if it is the engine why would it be happening even when i'm not pressing the accelerator? I also thought about the rotors but there is no shake even when the brakes are applied.
