Call your insurance agent and ask for a quote. That is what I did back when I bought my Lancer.

Well My insurance is discounted through my company but I am a new driver in Canada so my insurance is 250 a month. I guess in US that would be 280 and about 3372 for the yr. It should go down for me next year. My insurance company at the time also did not have the car on file so we had to use the 06. If this goes down because they mentioned that the 08 shoulld egt a good government safety rating especially with 9 air bags..

That's a lot. Perhaps insurance in Canada is more than here in the States. I don't have a new Lancer but my insurance costs 110... and soon will go down to under 90 after I turn 25 in June.

Insurance is pretty high here. You did the conversion wrong, if you're paying 250$ CAD, it'll be like 200$ US.

I'm at $100 a month with above average full coverage. Too many variables come into play though to get an accurate idea. Best thing to do is to call and quote it.
