Blacksheep, I just read his bolt on post, I should have read it first. I would be just as mad if I had wasted that much money on any type of car. One thing we need to remember is that our Lancers are economy cars, not performance machines.

Anyways, you should buy whatever you think is worth the money. A Nice stereo definately makes the car more enjoyable. from there its your own preference. I would say intake and exhaust, but its all up to you.

I know. It's honestly hard because you can spend thousands of dollars and take days for install work, and you gain NOTHING. That kind of thing just floors me.

Could you imagine if you paid your doctor $20,000 for a knee surgery and he went "well, we put in all new parts, but your knee doesn't bend any better than it did before. Sorry!" That's how I feel about car modification. It's blood, sweat and tears that earns me NOTHING.

I probably won't do much to my new Lancer. Part of that is because of my money situation. Part is because I know about things like this.

If I had a grand to spend on my car, I would get evo recaros. WHY?? Because you sit in them everyday and they feel good on my bum.

Amen. Make the car comfy and give up on power until you can afford the turbo kit.

Sadly amby isn't even the first to post his results after buying every bolt on. another guy did it and dynoed at 109 hp. Thats less than the estimated amount from the factory to the flywheel.

You are thinking of LancerAdam here's the dynoed results and here's what he did with his car. The bottom line was that he spent $11870.99 to do everything that you can do with an NA engine plus suspension and ended up only putting down 109 HP at the wheel.

+1 Melaz, of all the mods I've done, the only ones I don't truly regret are my rear sway bar, my evo recaros and my shifter bushings.

haha, Amby out of everything I did to my car- I couldn't believe what a difference the speedsource.net cable and shift base bushings made. That was my favorite mod, (until I my turbo was tuned right) and for only 30 bucks! I really think you should sticky LancerAdams thread. He spent 12 grand, and for results like that? Maybe his and your modding efforts with teach and save kids money in the future.

I'd like to say it will but judging from my dyno thread most people are happier living in ignorance as opposed to facing facts.

Nah, it's just depressing me because I have a cat-back exhaust that is sitting around waiting to be installed.
