the failure is still going. pulley left in the garage still with all my belts that need to be changed as well just saving up and gonna try to do it at a shop. impact gun is NECESSARY unless if you have godly strength.

a 1/2 ratchet drive and a 3 foot steel pipe, with my car in 5th gear, friend on the brakes= pulley getting pwned! good luck man, took me couple of tries and it just gave.

well since its a timing chain, I don't think it will jump teeth, but I could be wrong. The engine I work on have gears, not belts or chains to time.

There's an effective, though slightly less safe way to do it. Using a heavy duty impact socket, attached to the end of a 1/2" breaker bar. Put that on the crank nut, then rest the end of the breaker bar on top of a jackstand. Crank the engine and that should break it loose. That's how we did it a couple years ago when we installed on of these on my friend's 03 OZ.

There's also Puerto Ricons method, if you can get the car high enough to get decent leverage.

Ok i know i know 4 months later and now I just got it on. I went to a shop right down my street and they did it in like 40 mins. I drove it around the block and the main thing i felt was my car didn't feel like it was dying each time it was going up in rpms. Besides that I didn't really notice anything. The big reason why I got it now compared to before is because I heard it helps with mpg so I made sure I was on empty when i got it down and went straight to the gasoline station to fill her up to full. With the gas prices so high now I'll look to anything to get as much mpg as I can lol
