2008 Lancer Trade In Value
Anyone try trading there car in yet?
I have the es with a spoiler added later..
All they are willing to give me is 11 thousand. It has 13 thousand miles on it. The guy test drove it and said its like brand new couldn't tell its been driven 13 thousand miles..
Do you think:
A) It really is only work 11 grand
or
B) He didn't want me trading in the Lancer for a 07 altima?
See the dealership where I got my car is called drivers village and they have like 15 dealerships in one stop.. They took over an old mall

http://www.kbb.com/ <--- kellys blue book if you didnt do this already.
Seems a little low, but dealers are notorius for not givin shiyat on trade ins. If you are in no hurry, i would try to sell it private first. Got to be someone looking for a slightly driven 08 lancer in your area.

This is NOT a how to article. Moving to General.
Anyhow, dealers always try to screw you. Also, they don't use the Blue Book, they use the Black Book (lower numbers, of course).
If you want out of the 2008, sell it privately. You'll make WAY more than a trade-in.

Just checked, and 08's aren't even listed.

Anyone in Canada have any used prices they can throw out there based on experience? I need to sell my GTS before October... just bought a new house. As much as I'd love to hang on to it, I really can't.
Anyway, I've had it listed for $24K CDN with 6100 KMs on it (5 speed, sun and sound package, bought in December of '07) So far, no bites.

I tried to trade my lancer in for the new 2008 Colbat SS and I have a GTS Sun and Sound package with 19k on it. They came back with 14K. I laughed in there faces and walked out. Atleast I got to test drive it, nice car!
