before maybe but can you tell me whats the superior of the 140hp civic compared to the 152 hp lancer. maybe the 128tq. and yes the si is a good na motor with no tq. for every day people you would choose somthing with more hp and tq also built quality and handling. does the base honda have better handling than the lancer=no lancer has the evo 9 handling

That is probably true, but he isn't comparing JDM Honda's. So I figured I would spare the variable.

I believe you would find V-Tech in japan earlier than you would here too.

Since when is an S2000 $50K

The base lancer doesn't handle all that great.

And why does a little more power in a heavier car make is superior to a little less power in a car that's half the weight.

Match a base civic with a base lancer... the same driver... and you would find them to be fairly close, but the civic would edge it out if there were no other variables.

thats in canada it starts at 50600 + tax and fees goes way more. compare tat to the coming ralliart wich will be around 27000 and makes the same hp more tq allwheel drive twinclutch and amazing handling to the small over $50000 honda with the superior engine that makes 162 tq

See, now you are adding the stipulation of a step up model. You said a base model civic and now you are comparing to a higher model lancer.

This conversation with you is pointless as you continue to change everything mention to try to make yourself sound smarter. When you can pick a comparison and stick with it, try to make your argument to somebody that cares.

I won't argue with a brick wall anymore.

Lol I'm sorry but you clearly are naive if you think you handle as well as the evo 9. You have a chassis that is stiffer than the last generation, you don't have a superior suspension system, stickier tires, or the obvious advantages of Mitsubishi's AWD system. People always like to say "oh well Hondas are great but they have no torque", so what? Do you really think that makes a difference in day to day life? How often are you dropping below 3000 RPM when you want to get somewhere fast and how often do you give a crap about speed when you're just cruising along? As far as build quality, Mitsubishi doesn't even deserve to be in Honda's shadow let alone stand along side it. There's a reason why Honda consistently ranks in the top 3 for reliability, Mitsubishi is lucky to break the top 10 (which I don't think it has).

And? The evo and STI cost 50000$ in Canada and *gasp* the Ralliart will probably cost in the range of 30000$ to 40000$ so as to compete with the WRX. The S2000 is also a RWD coupe/convertible, it won't feel the same as the Ralliart which is a heavy, AWD saloon. I would be willing to bet an S2000 would embarrass a Ralliart in autocross or at the track where AWD won't make a difference.

Hell I would gladly take a brick wall at this point since at least a brick wall doesn't spout obvious nonsense like a base econobox handling better than a performance sedan.

And I'm sure you wouldn't say what you're saying if you were standing right in front of the two of us since we'd laugh at you. Keep the tough talk off of evom.

i read somwhere that the gts has better suspension then the evo9 or the same somthing like that and for a econobox thats pretty good handling. so tell me the civic is close to the handling of the gts. and talking like that could only get you in trouble good thing this is all online

No, it doesn't. The new chassis is stiffer than the last, this does not mean it has superior suspension anymore than better brakes means a better engine. I'm sure the civic is comparable in handling since it's a direct competition. As for the rest, that kind of attitude can make your time on evom very brief since we have a zero tolerance policy regarding threats.

I back everything I said on here to the point that if I was face to face with you, I would still say it all the exact same.

A GTS is not a base lancer anymore than an Si is a base civic.
