Lancer 2004?
I went to the gym today and parked my souped up lancer in the front. Low and behold when I return there is a evo looking car that isnt an EVO but isnt a Lancer.... Are the 2004's out? I was just staring at the car, didnt have a license plate so im sure it was brand new. The tails looked like the EVOs and back resembles a Mirage/Evo, the lancer has the EVO "Lancer" emblem and it had OZ Rally tires? Can anyone tell me if the 04s are out? If not what the heck was I looking at??? Plus the Mitsubishi emblem was twice the size as the regular US lancer?

i agree with coda
my buddy worked at a mitsubishi dealership about a year or two ago. way back when they first started flirting with the idea of bringing the evo over here to the states. and he called me up one day and said he had one there at the dealership so i rolled out of work to go and check it out. low and behold there was an evo right before my eyes. not an evo 8 prolly and evo 7. but like coda said you prolly saw the pre-release car.

Thats it...
Yeah thats the one... but it didnt have the OZ rally emblem. But it did have OZ rally tires and the panels inside were silver? Looks pretty cool. So I guess I saw a Pre-release Lancer 04?

it shouldn't have had an oz-rally emblem, because its the ralliart. i don't think they are still equipped with "oz" wheels, and the inside panel around the hu and ac is metal like that in the evo.
wheels are mitsubishi:

Ours here are already out. Known as the 2003 lancer. It sucks. The facelift is done by Daimler Chrysler. Stick to your 2001 Lancers... The 2005 one for Asia release is gonna be awesome... Entirely redesigned, and meant to be a REAL sports sedan...
