No. The CAI goes around you battery then wraps down and sits right behind your bumper. You might need to remove the bumper to install it or get at it from the drivers wheel well. The SRI just sits where your oem intake box sits now.

I would get a SRI if I were you, considering you live in Colorado. Someone with zero experience can put one on.

LOL! I wouldn't say ZERO experience. You would need someone that has had experience installing quite a few of intakes. I've seen it done wrong many times. Including a lot of shops that are suppose to know what they're doing and do it wrong! I would say get it done on your own with very detailed instructions. Takes little amount of tools and isn't very time consuming.

a good set of instructions can go a long way even for someone with no experience, especially with something as simple as a SRI

If you've put one on before, you'd understand how easy it is to do. Please try to do it yourself. Not only will you save money, but you'll learn about your car in the process.

I would save the $ and install it yourself. I've got the K&N typhoon intake which is a SRI. I've never done an intake and just done very basic stuff on my car and I did the install in about an hour and I was taking my time. I would suggest getting a hydroshield to put over your filter so you don't suck in water and get hydrolock and it is pretty wet in Colorado I would assume. They cost like $20-25 and it will save you from warranty issues. GL
