RRM strut bar
i know i shoulda posted this thread in the suspension forum, but that forum is lonely and it'll probably take me a while to get some answers
. i just wanted to know, for those of you who know or have had experience with both the single bar and the k-bar, is there that big of a difference? [besides the price that is].. wait, lemme rephrase the question.. is there a NOTICEABLE [spelling?] difference in rigidity? its not like i take turns at 100mph or go autocrossing.. this car is my daily driver but im just getting tired of this body roll. so if im better off with the single bar, lemme know. but if you highly suggest the k-bar over it, i'll take that instead. thanks people..

save yourself the money and get the single strut, i have it and put it through a lot and its doing great, the K-bar is more for show than anything, and you gotta be pushing the hell out of it to get a noticeable difference, now if we all coudl spend $200 on the rmr strut bar ;] but anyway, anyone will tell you the single strut is perfect for your conditions

Get the single... Even RRMs site says the KBar is only if you really really need it for autocrossing and you don't even do that. Personally, I got the single, becuase I doubt even that's noticeable - I drive hard often and the body roll diminshes so much with the single. Unless you're able to find a used KBar for the same price or less than a single, get the single...

but i go autocrossing and it really helps but im not sure how the two compare..if u wanna save some money but dont need the k-bar, just get the single tube
its a matter of personal oppnion but with the kbar i dont think your going 2 make any diff with same setup with single tube vs k bar imo strut doesnt help as much with body roll if i remmeber correct it keeps the strut towers straight when cornering hard springs stop body roll or lower it i should say. imo single tube progress springs and sway bar are enough for me when i autox i can keep up with the pack but i think only way im gonna get some real diff in times is with ecu flash and some more bolt ons 2 catch up 2 the mr2s vettes etc
wow thanks for the post people.. seems like im gonna be goin for the single strut bar.. and as for ryancb, i will be dropping it soon.. probably after winter over here.. im gonna either go for the eibachs or the tein stechs.. but as of now, im picking the eibach coz my driveway sucks ***..
yeah I am glad I have the k-bar for autocrossing, as it eliminates all possible pivot points, while the single bar leaves 2 possibilities. But installing the k-bar requires some finesse, so like everybody else said, if you're not racing seriously hard, the single one will do great for you. Hope you enjoy it!
