I was wodnering what cars a turbo lancer can take and if i will be able to get above 115 EASY??? With my stock lancer 5 gear SUCKS!! What cars should i be able to take with my turbo lancer? And what cars should i stay with? what do you think

 

You should be able to ride 4th to damn near 100. Don't shift until you have to...just don't expect good gas milage.

As for what other cars you can beat, things like other Lancers and Cavaliers come to mind. SE-Rs and RAs might still be out of reach.

 

a turbo lancer should definatly be able to beat an Se-r ... unless the 0-60 time or 1/4 mile is still that bad even after you dump 4k into the car, in which case, sell the car and dont bother racing it

wait a minute, why wont a turboed lancer beat a stock ralliart? ralli comes with 160hp, and the TC lancer with 230hp. why wont it win?

 

with NO internals and stock boost, someone was saying that the lancer will be at about 180whp. i guess expect to pay for internals if you want to go fast.

 

You can beat my 88 CRX...it's stock, and you can also beat my automatic Lancer.

 

man you guys are acting like, even if the lancer is tubo charged thats its still slow.

 

well thats cuz a turbocharged lancer is still slow in a way...when i had my kit on i beat 3 different WRX's...so i guess it was decently faster...but it came with a price.

 

so all cars that become turbo charged are still slow?

 

Slow compared to? is the question, You should definately be able to take a RA(STOCK), common V-6's like grand ams and such. Its a big improvement from stock from what I hear lol. Stock WRX's you could take all day from what I heard.

 

Ya'll all need to get your heads checked! there are ton's of car's the Lancer can beat turbocharged.I have a turbo Lancer myself with granted a bit more extensive mods then your average joe,yet still I've never had a problem with a rsx,wrx with basic mods,or even a pontiac GTP, and many more. Remember it's the driver that make's the car,not alway's the reverse.

 

good point typhoon if a turbo lancer couldnt be faster whats the point of have a turbo lancer?

 

i have beat a gt grand am v6 v6 tiburon spec v as far as going 115 easy if your cruising at 80mph in 5th you can easily hit 115 and also hit 130 pretty easy before the turbo i would have to red line 4th about 110mph or so then shift to 5th to top out at 123mph. i played with a gt mustang we were even till 4th then he started to pull. so at 6psi non intercooled you will be a contender but still can get beat but go stage 2 at 10psi then you will be pulling on mustangs and other v8 cars.
