Hi Forum,

My Lance 2008 ES transmission is making a weird noise, it sounds like when the power stirring is working with out fluid, I took the car to a Mitsubishi dealer and they said that the noise is comming from the transmission and it has to be rebuild, before I rebuild it I rather to change it for an used transmission from a crashed car, my question is if I change the trasnmission do I have to re program the transmission computer?

Thanks! and if any one has had an experience with this noise please let me know how you fixed it "without changing the transmission".

how many miles are on your car? wouldn't the dealership cover the new transmission?

 

93000 miles, I don't think is under warranty!
