well about an hour later we ran again and this time i am off to a great start, 1st, 2nd and 3rd i keep ahead of her by 4-5 ft, once i am in 4th we are about nose to nose....i hit 5th and she pulls on me and she keeps going...

we're both completely stock, i just got my oz about 10 days ago, and that was the first time i tried running it competively...maybe still adjusting to this stick than my 98 dakota

plus the roads were soaking wet but i had new tires and she barely had any thread left on hers so that couldn't have been it.

this weekend we're meeting at the beach and i know i am not going home without spanking her silly...thats right Fiesty, your somebodies *****!

i love seeing this!!!!

does ne one know where i can find an intake that will fit an automatic tran lancer. Every where I look it says manual (5 speed) only but I dont understand how a different transmission can affect the needed components of the intake

You can't find a CAI for the auto, but any of the SRIs should fit.

yea... try RRM or RMR, they have SRI's that are for the lancer. I have the one from RRM and it sounds great!

Depending on some variables, we might have some on Vince's turbo Lancer soon. And run a search for "time slips lancer" you should find some results from our last July meet.

in regards to the intake just have to move the battery on the auto to make it fit! should be thread on how to somewhere on that, or just be quick and painless about it and get a SRI...haven't decided yet what i want to do with mine yet.

I have an SRI on mine, then I added ducting to provide extra air for it to breathe. Seems to be a great setup to me. And I drive a manual, so I had my choice of anything I wanted!!!

i think u mean cai... umMm its been debated... i don't think there is a LARGE difference... and there are heat sheilds and things like that which do help the sri's anyways

yea i did mean that, i am always at work when i am on here so i am "multitasking" and i am writing in a hurry so no one really notices that this isn't where i am supposed to be, shh..sad thing my manager sits behind me

so there is not much gain you would getting with the cai compared to the work you would have to do to put it on an auto (moving the battery)... so it is more logical to go ahead and get the sri and save your self the energy of it all???

From what I have read, CAI gives you 1 or 2 more horsepower, but has a sloppy throttle response, while SRI gives you excellent response. I'm routing fresh air to the SRI, not sure where that falls in the scheme of things, but it's arguing over peanuts, so I'm happy with my recent dyno test and moving on to bigger things.

hmmm that is good to know... i have been trying to figure out which way to go...in my old car i had cai and it worked great but if the sri works better on the oz then it sounds like the best bet for overall...and true the difference is not that much between the too
