Group 2 is a non-turbo two wheel drive class. Although the car is being built with future expansion in mind, the innitial build will be a normally aspirated 4g94. It will be reasonably well built, raised compression, port work, stand alone fuel management, E85 fuel, etc. hoping for 180-200 whp. Anticipated race weight around 2,200 lbs, makes for a better power to weight ratio than stock evo. IF we reach our goals. They seem reasonable, but we still have to get there. Stay tuned for more.

Not 100% certain, I'm working with wiseco right now on a custom set of pistons. I'm hoping for about 12.0:1, but that may be more work than it's worth. 11.0:1 seems like the maximum of "easy".
For cams, I haven't decided yet. Likely RRM or custom grind. I'm mostly concerned that I get the correct profile for my application.

Go custom or RPW for a cam. The RRM cams (stage 1 or stage 2) aren't particularly aggressive. It's going to be very hard to hit 180 whp NA given that stock the car makes 80-100 whp. It's a cool project though.

reminds me of when i took my '07 LANCER off-roading. obviously rally racing is different, but it was really fun going through all the puddles that were almost a foot deep!

That looks like a lot of roads we have here in Northern Mi. Glad to see your Lancer in the dirt!
Just in case you could use one, and it looks like you could, we sell bolt on skid plates that fit your car
Let me know if you're interested.

Rear four piston brakes are mocked up! Wilwood Superlites! Front will be the same calipers with bigger pistons. Can't have enough stopping power!
Does anyone have any interest in these? I'll have a set of brackets CNC'd here shortly, if there's interest, I can make a few extra sets and come up with a kit for rear disks. These are for TRACK USE ONLY, and will not work with stock front brakes, or stock master cylinder. They will be a direct bolt on for your lancer.

The same Superlite Calipers. Different piston diameters front and rear to maintain proper front/rear bias. I will post more pictures of the complete brake system as we get it completed.
