Well, The car weighs 2,600lbs now. We have read conflicting reports on what it weighed before we started. I've seen anywhere from 2,500-2,900. I have another stock 2002 OZ In need to weigh, and then I'll know for sure how much I saved, if it wasn't a net zero.

We did A LOT to remove weight from the car, it's all polycarb windows excepting the windshield, doors gutted excepting front crash structure, there is no rear bumper beam, all unnecessary interior metal was removed (mounts for removed components), AC removed, radio and components removed, unnecessary wire was cut from the harness, no power steering, brakes were lightened, OEM seats, and more I'm sure I've forgotten.

To that, we did add a significant amount of weight back, Roll cage, skid plates (powertrain and fuel tank), full size spare, rally computer, first aid, triangles, tool kit, and probably a few more things I'm forgetting.

very interesting, but you're not as h4rdXc0r3 as porsche I bet: I think it was the gt3 rs that I saw on topgear where thy were going over how porsche did a lot of weight saving with different materials (aluminum carbide or something like that for brakes and clutch, and stuff like that) but that instead of having a plastic badge for the bonnet, they put a vynle (sp?) sticker for the porsche emblem.... so I say you still have room for improvement with those badges lol

Made it through ice and snow from Wichita Ks to Salem MO. for 100 acre wood rally Last weekend. Had the chance to meet the guys from TRF. They are a great bunch of guys.(and girls) Met Ryan at the park expo on friday along with the flying moose team. not sure how the lancer did overall but i did see them at service area on sat afternoon so i think they did finish. I did see the rear bumper lip was half broken off, but no other damage.

-Depending on your daily conditions. These Monotubes need to be removed from the body, cleaned and greased periodically. No special tools are required, takes about an hour to do both sides. The dirtier the driving conditions, the more frequently cleaning must be performed.
-Refer to page 3 of this thread for pictures of what we did on the rears. Bilstein ASN's.
-Both our fronts and rears are custom set ups built from component pieces. Any spring rate desired would be available. We carry a few spring rates depending on the competition surface. Additional springs are relatively inexpensive, and easy to change.

Thanks for the information Ryan.
I am currently on KYB Excel G's with Swifts and I like it alot.
But the longevity of this combo is unknown.
If these not live up to my expectations, I will go the coil over route.
