they would help and be a plus side for stopping performance but i dont think its a must have with the power our Lancers are putting out but its better safe than sorry.

my ES is stock and automatic and depending on how i am driving just not shifing myself through the gears or if i am i can take it all the way to redline in both cases and sometime past redline when i am shifting. i have found out that 1st gear ends at 33 mph, 2nd gear ends at 62 mph, and 3rd gear ends at 90 mph and i dont know where 4th ends. i havent tried but when i was at 100 my tach was at 4500 rpms so i think that it will go up to 110 maybe 115. dont know

well i've gotten to 65 mph in 2nd gear....and like 90-95 in 3rd gear....and ive gotten my auto to 115...didnt look at tach, just no i was still a lil ways away from redline

it was fun wanna do it again lol....but alas...roads covered in ice
