you shouldn't be putting premium in your lancer anyways.

I get around 30 miles to the gallon now that my engine is finally broken in. Approximately 350 miles to the tank on regular (88 octane), which around here is anywhere from $1.71 to $1.80 per gallon.

I hover at about 28 MPG if I'm driving like a human being. 35 MPG was the best I've gotten, though, driving from South Jersey to North Jersey and back in a day. 352 miles on 10 gallons or so. w00t!

Mixed Driving: 26-28mpg on Regular ($1.50)

Highway Hauls: 34-36mpg on Plus ($1.60)

I did, however draft a Semi from Indianapolis to Scranton, PA and went 620 miles on a single tank once... I **** you not.

32-37 mpg on Regular - $1.64

my driving is mostly highway miles on long stretches, but there's a good portion of small town driving as well.

I'm getting between 32-36 Highway on the first tank, Regular... I find that the second is generally better (35-40), and driving at 65 vs. 75, I get near 42-44.

My .02, but I've made this 900 mile trip enough to know.
