a 200 mile trip .. and then 120 in town miles and when i filled up, i had 320 on the car. This is using AC the whole way ... (I have SRI and test pipe) ... when I filled, it only took 10.1 gallons ...

 

nope, i hate ac but i get an average of 400mpg... i know for sure i had 346 miles at the 1/8 tank mark...

i usually get 240 miles each time i fill up and usually its around 10 gallons too. so my average (well it's almost ALWAYS 24mpg) but it's 24mpg

 

damn...i get around 250 with the AC on, and around 280 without it...i love the windows down but..i have never seen over 300!! Of course, thats street driving no high way driving. I have sri, testpipe, and exhaust..

 

remember, dude, you have about 13.x gallons on on your car, and when your cars says empty with light on, you still have around 3 gallons left

I'm getting 35-40 on the highway and 25 around town. When my plugs started to get fouled, I noticed the gas mileage go down badly... another thing to check is the PCV valve, and your motor oil. I use 5k intervals with 10W30 Mobil 1 Full Synthetic, and it seems to work great for me. OTher than that I have Magnecor Wires, NGK IRidium plugs, and a RRM SRI.

When the fuel light comes on, it's not because you're low, it's because the fuel pump is no longer completely submerged. If you do this repeatedly, you shorten the life of your fuel pump.

 

What kind of gas do you all use?

I use Unleaded Regular on my 02 ES.... Should I use another for better mileage?

 

I use 89 octane and the best I ever did was 365 miles on a tank from San Diego to Las Vegas when my car was bone stock. According to a fill up before I left my car had about 1.5-2 gallons when the needle was on "E". So I figured I used about 11 gallons on 365 miles (cruise set at 70mph) averages out to 33.2 mpg. Actually did a little better gas mileage on my way back.

 

hum, my gas milage sucks, i only get about 24 miles to the gallon, i fill up around 240-280, depends. Plus my car is auto. cuz i dont know how to drive stick

i use to cheapest gas i can find, so regular.

 

I use Regular Unleaded cheap gas nothing special there...bone stock Manual Tranny. and Like I said in an above post I got 300+ miles out of my tank of gas and do so everytime I fill up unless i dont feel like pushing it till im driving on fumes.

 

ever since i got my CAI, cat-back exhaust...my mileage has been going down...i use to break 320 before, then after the mods it was 300...now i got a 200lbs sound system in it..i get like 260...also, i drive like i got a lead foot...it all depends on weight distribution, resistance of your car (body kit, spoiler, etc) and driving style...my $0.02

 

Does having an auto really kill that much gas over a stick?
