I've got no idea how much i get....I always fill up my gas once the light comes on. I drive about 80% streets and 20% highway (recently) and when the light hits im usually between 220-260 miles on the trip. When i fill up @ the light, i still have about 3 gallons left on the tank...meaning i can get another 60 or so miles with the light on? But yeah, usually 220-260 once the light goes on. Best ive ever gotten was i think about 450 when i drove like 380 of those miles in one day (on freeway of course). This car kicks *** on the freeway for gas!

i once drove 78 miles with my light on.. filled up 12.7 gallons.. i would not suggest pushing your car to the limit but i wanted to see how far i could stretch it, once i noticed my car wanting to bog a little on a hill i pulled right over to fill her up..

my best was 427miles to the tank coming back from arizona cruising while the sun was down nice and cool outside @ 80mph

a little ot, but a friend of mine was running very low on gas at an autocross practice, and the siphon must have been on the right side, because the car shut down on a long right hander. Amazingly, he still had a good time after doing that and starting it up again, as it sputtered around every turn after that.

No. It's only a few MPG difference.

Yeah, because I'd really like taking a 4 hour commute to work. Not to mention the number of people that will be honking at me as I go down the 101 freeway at 2 mph

you get more mileage on the freeway b'cus your car is not really runnin hard...shifting and stoppin affects you gas mileage...i drove home from mammoth (june lake area to be exact)...stopped once to eat and once to pee( my gf) going about 80 the whole way and i live here in 909 area (s cali) and i still had a 4th of a tank left...with the a/c on half of the time and my system in the truck(had to drown gf's voice when shes saying "you going to fast"...lol)...but i usually get between 280 -320 no mods just my heavy *** system and i push my car pretty had and its stick..idunno

on an N/A car you could probably save a ton of gas by tuning down your a/f ratios with something like S-AFC or something of the sort... our cars run rich, which for N/A we can run really lean and still be ok...

Also, according to Rob (when discussing the n/a reflash) the stock Lancer runs lean at the low end, and rich at the top end. But that shouldn't make much of a difference, and to support that I seem to be getting the same mpg after the reflash as I did before. Maybe 1-2 mpg more now.
