Just for an update on this, I'll take pictures of each step really soon. I'll be moving my battery to the trunk when I get my turbo kit.

There are multiple bolts in the trunk that bolt to the frame of the car. Just unbolt them, sand down the paint, crimp an eye terminal onto the cable, and put the bolt through the eye terminal. Pretty simple and you only need two feet of ground cable.

very little fumes are let out. and it is hydrogen gas, a natural gas that is in what we breath everyday. It was simply stated as a fyi and I think our trunks are pretty well sealed anyways. and I have had my battery in the trunk for over a year with no issue.

they have vents as well, if you look behind the carpet on either side you can see 'em there

Just don't let the battery tip over. I relocated mine and didn't bolt it down right away. The battery tipped and spilled acid into the back seat. Being the lazy a$$ I am I didn't clean it right away, so now my car smells like acid. I took the carpeting out and am going to baking soda the crap out of it tonight. All while venting out the car. It smells really bad. I don't think just having the battery back there is a bad idea, but I'm getting a battery box as a precautionary measure any ways.

Would it be a good idea for an inline cap?

Update, I've had my battery relocated for over a year now and I'm still alive with no chemical related illnesses

as for the inline cap, are you asking if you should put an inline capacitor on it or something? If so, I haven't had any problems running the car as is with just the kit (longer and larger wire and a battery tray). And from what I understand, I should get extra battery life because I'm not subjecting it to extreme heat all the time.

Fumes may not be a major concern but Hydrogen is extremely flamable. There are batteries available that have a nipple to accomodate a vent tube. Some BMWs have trunk mounted batt.s with this feature.

Ok I am going to be doing this soon and I had a quick question. I have been looking at these three battery relocation kits and am wondering if there is any big difference between the three that will justify the price difference? I'd rather go for the cheapest one, but was wondering what some of your professional opinions are... I mean I can hardly tell what's different with them...
