Sweet Jebus those are expensive kits! I think mine cost $40-50 at PAW, and another $10 for the box. I don't see why they charge over $100 for a kit that is simply a plastic or metal tray and some wire. I didn't even end up using the tray for the kit, I just shaved off part of the stock tray and used it in the trunk, making a handy barrier between it and any cargo back there. Run a search on this board, as I'm pretty sure someone mentioned all the parts to buy instead of buying a kit. Something like 20' of red 0 guage wire, 3' of black 0 guage wire, 2 terminals and a battery tray with tie down (but as I said, I used the stock tray as well as tie down). The only thing that's nice about the kit is that the terminals are already crimped on for you. Of course, that's also why I have an extra 4' of red wire snaking its way around my engine bay

Side note, if you do drag racing, make sure the local tracks allow this mod, as some consider it a wild mod and require an external shut-off for some reason.

For some reason the kit I am probably going to buy won't show up... it's supposed to be the middle link. Anyway that one is only $45 bucks and includes the box. Anyway I don't do any drag racing I just want to make some room for my CAI... Thanks.

Ahh, then the $45 kit would be just fine. Just be careful when drilling the holes in the tunk pan. Your exhaust and gas tank are down there, and you don't want to drill those! BTW, I put mine on the right side of the trunk in order to counterweight the driver, which helps slightly in the handling department. I figure it makes a small difference, but while you're moving it, you might as well use the best location right?

Makes sense to me. Oh and thanks for the tip, I'll be sure not to drill my exhaust and gas tank!

Can anyone help? Is that the boot that I stick the red wire through to get to the engine compartment? I don't want to screw anything up so I figured I'd ask.

Yep, that's the one. We cut a small hole in it so the cable didn't have to bend. But that's a matter of how much patience you have when trying to feed a 1/2" thick cable through a 1/16" hole using only a clothes hanger

Ok I am again confused. Here is my dilemma:
There are THREE wires going into that red box thingy and I only have one red wire that goes back to my trunk. What do I do? Sorry for my stupidness, but I really don't know what I should be doing.

you connect the wire to your trunk to the main connection that is on the battery (after it's disconnected of course)

Which of those three wires is the main connection on the battery? And what do I connect it with? Thanks!

the main connection is the one that connects right to the terminal on the battery, under that red plastic cover, just rip that sucker off. Just make sure that you get all three of thos wires connected, with their fuses (if any), to the line from the rear, and have a fuse at the battery in the trunk too

Ok so I connect all three of those wires to the one going to the trunk? Ok what do I do to connect them just tape 'em all together or what? Oh and how do I put a fuse at the battery in the trunk? Buy one somewhere made for that?
